Single-line Scale Exercise:
The scales pattern mapped here illustrates both major and minor-mode progressions, the latter being more difficult to learn.  This century-old exercise from Taffanel/Gaubert’s: 17  Etudes journaliers pour la flute, is still a challenge for mastering the three forms of the minor scale throughout twelve keys.
