Basic Map (early level): Bartok, Hungarian Folk Song
In this piece, both hands stay in F major 5-finger position. In the map, the RH melody is represented by contour lines and a few finger numbers (plus dashes for rests), and the LH ostinato in lines 2-5 is based on an F major triad with moving middle notes (G-A-Bb-A), represented by finger numbers (4-3-2-3). Letters (A1, A2, etc.) are used to label the main thematic sections.
